This seventeen-member female chamber choir based in Arklow, County Wicklow is under the direction of conductor Rosarii Kinsella A.R.I.A.M.
Cruinniú have performed competitively since their inception in 2011 and have won in festivals such as Navan International Choral Festival, Sligo International Choral, and New Ross Choral Festival, as well as in their hometown at the Arklow Music Festival.
Cruinniú made an appearance on BBC Radio Ulster with Gerry Kelly, which was a fantastic experience! They performed in Leinster House for the turning on of the Christmas lights.
Cruinniú also perform with their friends in Belfast, ‘Festival Brass’ and ‘Laganvale Metal Tech Band’.
The highlight of the calendar is ‘Carols by Candlelight’, Cruinniú’s annual Christmas carols performance. Each year, they host this fantastic event with proceeds going to a chosen charity. To date, they have raised almost €30,000 through this series. The incredible ‘Arklow Silver Band’ performs alongside them each year, as well as the wonderful MC, Paul Sharkey.
